Story
MARGARET EDWARDS-JONES
​
Margaret is a Canadian born equestrian and trainer based year-round in Florida & soon to also have a location in the California.
Coming from a family of riders with diverse background in jumpers, eventing and dressage, Margaret got her first pony at the age of 3, Newton, who taught her a lot about Gravity! Her mother thought her fancy would wane and that would be the end of the horse craze but and time went on, her determination grew stronger.

Certified as an Equine Canada Coach in 1984, she has been teaching since the age of 16 when asked to help fill in for Joseph Thauer who rode with Spanish Riding School.
That was the beginning of her dressage journey with her training being very solid in Classical Dressage with always an outline of Spanish Riding School philosophy.

She has multiple Dressage Canada Medals of accomplishment in Dressage and also competed up to Open Level in Jumpers.
She most lately trained with Canadian Olympian and International Grand Prix
competitors David Marcus and Nicolas Fyffe and work toward bringing her two personal horses to the Grand Prix level and show internationally.
Her other interests, relating to training, is BIOMECHANICS of the horse and how each horse can be developed to the best of their ability and how the rider can benefit the ability of the horses movement and not hinder it. She personalizes training for riders of all levels and experience and always puts the welfare of the horse first.
